This final journey supports you in letting go of what you’re done carrying—old stories, old pain, old identities—and then Proceeding forward with clarity, strength, and intention.

At some point in life, many of us abandoned our inner child just to survive. We pushed away the playful, tender, or wounded parts of ourselves to cope with pain and keep moving. What remains are fragments—dissociation, anxious attachment, avoidance, and disconnection. The cost is high: broken trust with yourself, a lack of joy, and a constant sense that something is missing.
When your inner child stays locked away, you never feel whole. You can succeed on the outside and still feel empty on the inside. I started out as an innocent kid, shaped by my family, friends, teachers, and the media. I was set loose in the world, following the script of what I was “supposed to do” and what I was told to do. I went from high school, to college, to marriage, and along the way, I carried the thoughts and expectations of everyone who had a hand in raising me. It’s no wonder I felt stressed and lost — I was living everyone else’s opinions and dreams, not my own. Sound familiar?
I began to realize I had the power to figure out who I truly was and who I wanted to be.
My journey took me from the corporate world to massage therapy and eventually, it led me to create the Pause Breathe Proceed movement.
Now I’m on a mission to share with others who need it!
Looking back, every step I took brought me here. Life often gives us chances to pivot, to make different choices, to head down a new path.
It’s your life, and you get to choose, yet many folks end up living a life defined by others.
